My partner does not help at all with our 4 month old little girl. I ask him daily to help look after her even the simple things like change her bum or give her some milk but he just ignores me.. has anyone else had things problem or some advice in what to do!!

Go out. Have an unmissable work thing and leave them at home overnight, or longer.

If you don't work, think of another reason to go away.

He still won't do anything as he will leave her to his mum or sister. I am constantly arguing with him to get him to help or at least do something for his daughter. It's got to the stage where I am constantly crying at night because I'm so tired and am not getting any help

Why would he want to take her? He can't be bothered with her when he lives in the same house, he certainly isn't going to want full time responsibility! He might say it to hurt you, but we've already established he's a twat.

I think you are in an abusive relationship can you contact Woman's Aid to get help to leave him .. he won't take your baby away he wouldn't want to burden himself .

Are you a young couple? Many young men are just not prepared for the responsibility of parenthood. He sounds very selfish and irresponsible.
He doesn't sound like he is going grow up any time soon.
Did he go on any of the dad to be courses?
He may just lack any idea of what to do or he may feel that looking after a baby is 'woman's work'.
If you really believe he isn't going to change then you need to start thinking whether you have any other means of support ie friends/family who could help out to give you a little break.

He wouldn't try to take her! I'd like to say "he'd lose interest very quickly" but he doesn't havw any interest in being a dad now.

Why do you think he'd want to do it full time? It's just a threat to keep you where he wants you.

It's up to you what you do, of course. But don't make a decision based on a fear he would take the baby. He wouldn't. He wouldn't be able to play on the xbox and chat with girls all day anymore.
