One is a rather good amateur phtotgrapher and another is a dab hand at poker! One might be an architect living in Illinois but not sure if it the same one but I know his dad lived in the states and he went out there.

Callisto · 23/11/2006 12:21

Wondering what they are up to yes, fine but googling to find out what they are up to is a little bit sad and stalkerish IMO. Not that I think anyone here is in any way sad or stalkerish, in fact I can't think of a saner more grounded bunch...

expatinscotland · 23/11/2006 12:22

I don't.

Cuz I'd rather just not know.

WigWamBam · 23/11/2006 12:24

I googled last time we had a thread like this, and the only one who shows up is my first boyfriend, the wild lad my parents hated because he was "bad news".

He's now a Vicar!

NotQuiteCockney · 23/11/2006 12:25

There ya go, WWB, your parents were right!

shit - he is in a band called "take that" and rhuby gave his love child up for adoption when she was 14.

Tutter · 23/11/2006 12:26

would be worried that dh would see the names in the google search field

me: "ah yes, well, you see, there was thi MN thread..."

WigWamBam · 23/11/2006 12:28

NQC, they were spot on

Nemoinapeartree · 23/11/2006 12:29

am I the only one who cant actually remember the name of her exs???????

Piffle · 23/11/2006 12:29

I would link to his myspace profile but for the shame of admitting to such a gross error of judgement there is no beer in thr world that could make goggles that could excuse me, nor any personality that could override his fugliness - currently he is shagging an 18 yr old is very gothic, still very ugly and gruesome.
Shudder...

WTF · 23/11/2006 13:30

OMG I actually found a picture.

My ex was on that bbc reality show castaway and if I enter his name it comes up with various quotes from producers etc saying they wanted to get rid of him!!

fullmoonfiend · 23/11/2006 14:04

one is a translator of wierd languages - i mean fluent in finnish?? When you're not Finnish?? WHY?
Another is a prolific poster on computer games review sites...
Another is obsessed with cars...

There's a distinct pattern of geeks and uber geeks emerging here Though they were really very handsome and interesting when I knew them...

oliveoil · 23/11/2006 14:06

ha hahahahaahahahahah

FrivolentDemon · 23/11/2006 14:14

Oooh - mine was working on restorig a house that was on some BBC documentary

acnebride · 23/11/2006 14:15

That xh is smiling. Looks weird. Perhaps he's had some more surgery on his chin.

NotQuiteCockney · 23/11/2006 14:22

fmf, Finnish is a really interesting language - it's Fino-Ugaric (like Hungarian and Estonian), not Indo-European (like every other language anyone you know speaks, pretty much). Last I heard, they thought Finnish etc were herder languages, not farmer languages like ours. In these languages, vowel and consonant duration is significant. So Yess could mean something different from Yes.

One of my exes was ranked Europe's strongest man in 1996!

fullmoonfiend · 23/11/2006 14:29

NQC - I wasn't really knocking the learning Finnish per se (actually am terribly impressed, he speaks hundreds of languages apparently) just the fact that, well, he was kind of geeky now - as were all 3 of the exes I googled...!

( he was my very significant ex and I shouldn't be really surprised giving that he threatened our children would be called ancient Nordic and Anglo Saxon names like, er, Krud and Bludwurst or something)

NotQuiteCockney · 23/11/2006 14:32

Oi, how'd you find out my boys' names?

I don't have anything against geeky, I've dated geeky, I've married geeky, nothing wrong with it.

fullmoonfiend · 23/11/2006 14:33

OMG! Are you my ex????
(maybe you married him! He was lovely just too intense for me at that time in my life )
