How do you cope with that fact? That they no longer find you attractive?
We get on in every other area. But, whereas in the past he couldn't keep his hands off me, in the last few years (I'm in menopause) I get the feeling he couldn't care less and is not turned on by me any more.
I'm the one that has to 'ask for sex'
He can't be arsed.

Can a marriage survive this?
What should I do?

Men are a load of pigs
So much for better or for worse Sad

Just to add, I keep myself in shape. I have a really good figure for my age. I watch what I eat. I'm not old in my ways either.

I don't get it. Confused

He's getting older too, don't men's sex drives dwindle with age sometimes? Sure I've heard that somewhere. Could be that especially of he isn't particularly physically fit etc

icensliceplease · 31/07/2015 22:42

True.
He is a lot older.
His sex drive has diminished. But still.
I don't think I will try anymore. He can go rot.
I'll buy myself a vibrator.

Have you asked him does he fancy you anymore?

Sometimes these feelings dwindle. I'm not mega turned on by my DP anymore, I don't get that butterfly feeling in my belly anymore, but I love him with all my heart and couldn't imagine life without him. It doesn't mean your husband loves you any less.

Can a marriage survive this? Of course it can. You need to talk. You need to be honest about your feelings. See what's going on.

Milllii · 31/07/2015 22:59

Why do you think he doesn't fancy you?

As Grays says, have you talked to him and asked him?

icensliceplease · 31/07/2015 23:19

Ive tried talking to him.

He just says 'i'm tired'
'Stop going on'

But I do take it personally.

How old is he?

Men's sex drives and also their ability to physically perform definitely can dimish with age.

Could he be suffering ED and embarrassed?

DragonsCanHop · 31/07/2015 23:34

Try not to take it personally, easy said though.

Milllii · 31/07/2015 23:46

I agree. He may not be getting erections at all, not even morning ones.
