He's a roofer, a pile of bricks fell on his head, he was in a coma for three weeks. Now he is slightly lost and a bit confused. Basically it has effected his health and he's quite slow at understanding. It upsets him and he finds it hard to keep up etc.....
Now the point is he keeps asking me out for a drink, and i'm not sure if i should go there, it would be hard work.I know this sounds ignorant, but i'm not convinced that he knows what he is doing. I cannot have a proper chat with him.
This is incredibly difficult to know without any medical details, he has said that it will take time for him to get back to his normal self, do you think he can or will?
Should i go on a date?

Well done get your "yes I can be left in charge of a mobile on a night out" badge here! I cant so am jealous! Not sure about sex with sixty year old and man breasts dribbling surely he should be in a home or only out with a minder? I might have been sick at that point but then hey thats what I do best.

He stood on a table in the pub announced that i was gorgeous and declared he was taking me home that night. My friends nearly wet themselves, is this what single life comes to, is this my level

The only way is up! And lets face it a compliment from a dribbly 60 year old is probably better than nothing! well actually take that back. Also has nothing to do with singlehood existance, I got a discount from a gay pub owner the other day for my lunch because he said I looked gorgeous. Actually he was gorgeous but worried that married and only appeal to gay men now!

fairyfly · 09/05/2004 13:57

Well at least you got a discount, and a compliment off a gorgeous gay man is extremely flattering. Must go into Manchester next time.
