Dear all, my next door neighbours moved in 7 months ago. She has 4 children and moved from a domestic violence situation from Manchester. They are a Somalian family and are Muslim. They are very very respectful. There is some noise from them. It's running up and down the stairs, coming and going late at night - the children are 14 12 7 and 2. They stay up late which is there choice. I actually don't have much of a problem with the noise. I am probably more tolerant. I was one of 9. He was an only child and lived at the end of a block of terraces. It's my husband. I have spoken to the mum twice and she has responded. My husband has problems sleeping, we live in a terrace. He goes on to me when there is noise and he is"now dreading the 6 week holidays" He said we need to move which is not an option. I have asked him to speak to her but he won't. I feel caught and would welcome any ideas of what to do to manage it all round. The noise wouldnt come under noise nuisance. Thank you Mary.
