Right... I started that thread about couples talking to each other... and it seems everybody is chatting away merrily all the time...

we delight in the mundane..i probably bore him but when i say 'christ i must bore you' he does a great job of pretending i dont

I often wondered about this as dh and I tend to have companionable silences for most of the week. Our Friday nights in are when we relax together in front of the TV with a bottle of wine or 2 (or 3!)and talk about all sorts and when we go out together we put the world to rights etc.
But most nights are spent online in more or less total silence - him on the PC and me on the sofa with the laptop.
