I don't live with my dp, but we are planning to, I received a letter from tax credits hmrc saying they had information I had another adult living in the house, which I don't he stays once a week. I support myself I go to work so I do get working tax credit and child tax credit.

However receiving this letter co insides with my dp stopping his ex's maintenance because he has them the majority of the time, the schools, drs etc have my dp address and she has remarried also. She had started to behave odd suddenly since finding out we are all moving in together. We can't be sure it's her but I can't think who else would and wot information they could have. Just wondering if there is anyway I can find out wot information they have ? As it's very unsettling.

I have nothing to hide so I have just sent off all the required paperwork but wondering wot else she is going to do. I've done nothing to her at all, alwYs been polite and look after her children at weekends. Grrrr

You've looked after your partner's children at weekends too.

Penfold007 · 07/06/2015 19:04

So long as you can evidence separate address, bills etc you should have no problem.

Thatslife72 · 07/06/2015 19:07

Well we go out together some weekend yes all together , is that not allowed!? Yep separate address, finances, the lot !

I'm afraid I had one of these. It ended in an injunction through the courts and a harassment order with the police. I would say just gather the evidence and when it gets too much, get a solicitor

Thatslife72 · 07/06/2015 19:20

Do u harassment from the ex feelinghot ?

Was it from concentrix?

They are sending them out to most people as a fishing exercise to try and catch people out.

I've had one too. Have to send a ridiculous amount of evidence in return.

It's a pain but has to be done.

Thatslife72 · 07/06/2015 19:42

Yeh it was, I was wondering that too? I have sent it all off just got to wait now! Who knows! Still wouldn't surprise me if it was her though!

I had one of these letters in Feb. I have been divorced 12 years, never lived with anyone since and have bedn entirely single for over a year. I just rang concentrix and it turned out their evidence was a mobile phone account in the name of my 18 yr old ds. They told me not to bother sending the all the required information and I received a letter a week later saying no further investigation was being undertaken. As someone mentioned above these letters aee going out to thousands of people. Hope it is just one of these misunderstandings.

Thatslife72 · 07/06/2015 22:48

I didn't think about phoning them, I just sent the information . Wonder if I phone them they will tell me wot information they have?!

If you're doing no wrong you have nothing to worry about.

Seriously, WOT?

TheMotherOfAllDilemmas · 07/06/2015 23:20

I got one of those letters years ago, it turned out that there was a bank account, from a previous owner, linked to my address. I explained we bought the house from him, and that was it.

Thatslife72 · 08/06/2015 09:35

Oh really, maybe it's nothing then, I can't believe how much evidence they want !

Winterofourdiscountstents .. I have nothing to worry about as far as not being guilty, but it is upsetting when your accused of something your not guilty of and you wonder -what- is coming next I suppose, but well there's nothing I can do about it.

And I do know how to spell what just using slang as lazy lol!
