French lady whose daughter died

I was just wondering if anyone remembered the french lady whose daughter died a few years ago, and what became of her.
I didn't want to post it in 'bereavements'
I think her name was something like GGGlimpo. I think her daughter was called 'Claudette/Claudine'
Probably totally wrong

I remember the lady you are talking about, it was one of the first threads I read on MN that has stayed with me Sad I think the poster was ggglimpopo but I don't know whether she still posts or not, but I still think of her and her daughter too. I hope wherever she is that she has found some peace and the ability to live with the sad loss of her beautiful girl.

Maude ..that was her daughters name..

FatAli · 05/06/2015 21:37

Her daughter was Maude.

QuinoaLenghi · 05/06/2015 21:37

Her daughter was called Maude and old MN readers organised a sponsored walk called "Mile for Maude". I don't know what became of her but I remember she went on to have another baby.

...Poster was ggglimpopo.

I remember her. And Maude.

It stayed wth me too and I often think of her and wonder how she is.

404NotFound · 05/06/2015 21:42

She did go on to have another baby, and is still living in France. I am very loosely in touch with her, but will let her know that people here are thinking of her and Maude still.

xx

Thank you ladies. I often think about her. Her post about Maude was the very first post that I read on mums net. Very sad. Please pass on my best wishes 40. x

I did pass on your wishes, and she was very touched that complete strangers remembered her. Smile

SylvaniansAtEase · 08/06/2015 18:21

404, I remember her too, and Maude. I hope she is well and happy.

HumphreyCobbler · 08/06/2015 18:28

I remember her very clearly although I joined just after Mile for Maude. She once linked to an article she had written about losing her daughter and that has stayed with me even more clearly. I too think about her often.
