My Partner swears they cured his depression, for me they made me wired up. I used self help instead

i was on 20mg citalopram for ages. then 40mg but i was zombified. Now changed to escitalopram 20mg which is effectively equivalent to 40mg citalopram. it works so much better.

That book is amazing! The self esteem one is fab too. Also whiles your waiting if you Google claire weekes free audios you will find them helpful too.

You can get better, I went through nearly 10 years of anxiety and with zero therapy or medication I cured it with self help. Everybody is different, you will find something that works so don't give in.

I am. Ive been on them for over a year now.

I had no side effects taking them whatsoever and I do feel calmer.

Worked for a couple of years but eventually realised I was depressed again....they seemed to have lost their effectiveness. Now on sertraline and feel ok again.

I'm on 40mg too. They helped with anxiety, but I don't believe they help at all with my depression.
