This thread is a follow-up to something I posted in 2013, with the what-happened-next bit.

Here's a link to the old thread.
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships/a1793743-Husbands-ex-girlfriend-wants-to-meet-up-with-him

Nearly 2 years ago I posted about my concerns re husband's ex wanting to meet up with him for lunch. He had bumped into her randomly somewhere and she texted him suggesting they meet for lunch.

3 weeks later he still hadn't replied, and told me about it and asked what he should do. He was worried about being rude if he didn't reply, and go out for lunch with her. (She knew about me from the beginning of my relationship with DH, and knew we had a toddler)

Thread consensus was that he shouldn't meet her, and that in spite of me saying what a lovely, trustworthy guy he was, there was something not quite right about it. People intuited that he was keen to see her and rather than making the decision himself, he decided to put it on to me, instead of just deleting her texted invitation to lunch and forgetting about it.

Anyway, I now know that in 2012 he was looking at porn, and lying and concealing it. He ended up disliking himself for it, and stopped doing it. But what I do know is that he had definitely looked at porn 7 months before "bumping randomly" into the ex.
He has also kept secrets from me, and tried to do something to shaft me financially. So my idea of a blissfully happy marriage was just an illusion.

He is very regretful, and is doing his best to make up for it.

But basically, Mumsnetters sniffed out that things were not as they should have been, just from the issue about his ex wanting to meet him for lunch. I do wish the Mumsnet jury had been wrong, but actually it shows that good advice can be found on this forum.

Sorry to hear that. I think I recall the thread. Brew and commiserations.

I'm missing something here, did he end up sleeping with the ex then?
