I spent years worrying and feeling like there was something wrong with me for being single (I was the quintessential single girl for years). Now I wish I'd worried less and had more fun when I was young and free. Easy to say in hindsight, I know. Having a dh and child is lovely but life still has all the same challenges as when I was single. I thought life would be perfect once I met "the one". Silly me.

43 here! Not found the 'one'. I would have stayed with my ex but he had other ideas! . It took a while to get over.. but..
I've met someone recently who i also hope it works out with. So I also don't believe in 'one'

Been together since 15, lived together since almost 18, engaged at 20, getting married next year (so will be 23), and DC will hopefully come after that!

As for the gap between meeting and dating him... seriously, take a second look at those guys you think you couldn't ever be anything more than friends with. Best thing I ever did.

Looking back it was young and I wasn't looking for a ltr at the time. In hindsight though I'm glad I'm not mid 30s single and childless as I see friends in that situation worried & unhappy.

Plenty of time to meet the right one for you. My friend met her dh at nearly 40, now married and two dcs. Worth the wait

Am rubbish at knowing my own age, but was definitely around 27 when I met dh (this was post splitting up with my first h - though pre my actual divorce from him.) I was 33 when I had dd,

Which one? still looking for one that'll do.

Kids aged 20, 22 and 25. Don't need to find 'the one' to have a baby. Helps if it is someone who wants to be a dad.

Found the one, got pregnant and had ds when I was 18. I'm 23 now, we've lived together since ds was born, and still waiting for him to pop the question/put a ring on my finger. We've talked about marriage, and I definitely think he's going to ask within the year.
