Just woke DH up from his Sunday lie-in and asked him to be kind enough to go out and get me a sausage and egg McMuffin. (guilty pleasure)

He did, even though he wasn't over the moon about it. (I'm not high maintenance, just been a tad unwell, so need to eat when munchy)

Bless him :)

DW has just woken from her Sunday lie in. I've been up since about half seven breakfasting and playing xbox with DD (she knows to come to my side of the bed when she wakes on a weekend).
Thanks to your post Wink I now want a sausage and egg McMuffin. I'm on a 5-2 diet, DW calorie counting. I'll be nice by not going to get one to eat in front of the missus.

RubbishMantra · 01/03/2015 10:06

Power of suggestion, eh Minus?

He's also been washing my abundant and unruly hair since I've been poorly.

Sorry, I tried not to, but couldn't resist. I find it amusing that a bloke be the first poster to reply. About how awesome he is. Wink

Awesome is as awesome does... I'll get me coat...
In all seriousness, would maybe be nice to hear one or two other voices. Men, women, we're all just people at the end of the day, good, bad, and inbetween. Thing is, folks only tend to post here when the shit's hit the fan in their relationships. Sometimes good news is nice.

RandomNPC · 01/03/2015 10:21

Here you go, second reply is from a bloke too! I'm not remotely awesome.

Vivacia · 01/03/2015 10:24

He never refers to me as "wife-y".

Reallyme71 · 01/03/2015 10:25

Not a bloke Grin but have to agree it is nice reading about the good things and I want a MacD bagel now ...

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 01/03/2015 10:31

I've had flu so yesterday DH filled me a hot water bottle throughout the day, made me soup, ran me a bath & washed my hair for me. He's my lobster Smile

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 01/03/2015 10:32

Would it be ripping the P to ask him for MacD pancakes now?

RubbishMantra · 01/03/2015 11:49

River, they'd have stopped doing breakfasts by the time you'd thought to ask him. I hope you didn't get all elated when he went out for them, followed by crashing disappointment. Sad

Strangely, I quite like him calling me wifey. And I call him Lord Peepipes and he calls me Lady Pisspipes. Grin

He made coffee, then went out and bought himself a new rechargeable hoover and is 'just doing a bit more down here'. Crack on mate.

RubbishMantra · 01/03/2015 12:08

I love to see a man wielding a hoover.

When he does the evening washing up, I can't help but give him a kiss on the back of his neck. He has lovely curls that just sort of surround his nape, which has the softest, velvety skin.

DeliciousMonster · 01/03/2015 15:10

He even cleaned the new brushes of his daughter's hair after hoovering her room.

Brings a warm glow to the heart does that.

Jengnr · 01/03/2015 15:44

Mine comes to bed after me and brings me a drink up every night. I could take one up myself but I like him doing it for me.

He's picked up loads of the slack domestically since I've been pregnant and asleep all the time.

He is lovely.

Joysmum · 01/03/2015 16:21

He never refers to me as "wife-y"

I had to chuckle at this one because I am 'wifey' and his phone pronounced it 'whiffy' which is very true thanks to my hobby Grin

RubbishMantra · 14/03/2015 23:05

He spring cleaned the entire house. Popped out for a bevvy with his mates, and is now cooking me (a late) dinner.

Love the bloke. Smile

Brings me a cup of tea every morning without fail, even after 34 years of marriage.

PurdeyBirdie · 14/03/2015 23:11

Spunks in a cup every day of my fertile window so I can self-inseminate. Long-term ttc has destroyed his confidence and he can't maintain an erection when I'm desperate for the goods. He does this despite probably feeling useless and emasculated. What a geezer Smile

RubbishMantra · 14/03/2015 23:26

Ah, bless him spunking in a cup!

Some blokes can be really quite awesome, can't they.

Good luck with the ttc Purdey

Unblocks the loo when someone gets a 'refusal'.Grin

MummyBtothree · 14/03/2015 23:43

If spunking in a cup constitutes being 'awesome' would them knocking one out over the porn theyve got hidden on their phones be so awesome lol.

MyriaLeJean · 14/03/2015 23:48

DP always puts my toothbrush head back on our electric toothbrush when he's finished brushing his teeth, and puts the toilet seat/lid down when he's finished. Both of these things give me a warm glow!

minsmum · 15/03/2015 00:04

Arranged for his dm to come for dinner last Sunday as my dm died just before Christmas and he thought it would be nice for me to have the children to myself tomorrow. Bought me a takeaway for tea tonight. Has arranged for him and my dd to cook for me tomorrow. Lastly he has insisted that the small amount of money my dm has left to me is used for me and has spent weeks going looking with me so that I have just bought my first ever car just for me and not a family car.
He also read the eulogy at the funeral, has been feeding my db' s cat cats when they are away as they need a break and he thinks I have enough on my plate.

RubbishMantra · 22/03/2015 01:31

Bless your lovely hubby minsmum.

Mine just accompanied me downstairs whilst I made a cuppasoup. Too scared to go down there on my own after watching a horror film. He didn't even complain about me being a fearful dick.

Ooo my OH cut short his much longed for Saturday lie-in this morning to get me a McD's breakfast! Pancakes with warm maple syrup - lovely!

He also got himself TWO double sausage and egg McMuffin meals I don't know where he puts it! I only had to look at the pancakes to gain a stone!
