hi, I had a thread in chat and one of the lovely posters suggested I post here as well.

in july i'm doing a 100km (62ish mile) walk/run event called race to the stones. While doing this I thought it would be a good idea to raise money for womens aid as a survivor of domestic violence myself its a way I can give something back and help others.

my thread in chat with the title can you help me please has been moved today into charities noticeboard so if you could please have a look at it and if you can donate that would be great. my goal was to raise £75.00 and last night mumsnet alone helped me pass that goal which was fantastic.

i'll keep everyone updated on the original thread as to how i'm doing. many thanks.
sorry I can't work out how to lnk the thread to this post.

hi, I've just spent a while reading through some of the posts on this board and am so sad for everyone going through such a hard time in their life.

its made me even more determined to raise as much as possible to help other women so as well as race to the stones I've signed up to do 2 marathons and 1 half marathon before RTTS.

thanks to all of you that have helped me raise as much as I have so far.

small update to say thank you everyone for your support and sponsors.
I had an email today from women's aid that said how wonderful it was that I chose to support them and help them, and how much courage it takes for a woman to leave an abusive relationship. I've replied how supportive you have all been and its great to think that we're helping someone escape and live a happier life.
thank you all so very much.

as I've been asked by a few lovely mumsnetters to keep them posted as to how my training is going so i'm just giving a quick update to say I've decided very last minute to run/walk a half marathon in the morning Shock i'll update with more details on my original thread mentioned in my op.

Well, you'll be in bed now Grin but good luck for tomorrow and I hope it's gone well!

I thought people might like a link to your main thread:
