How do I find out more history info on IPAD ?

I looked on my DH's Internet history on his Ipad. Saw a dodgy website he accessed. Not just a porn site, it seems to be a hook up site. I'm not very tech savvy so I need any help you can offer, sorry! This is where I found it:

Settings
Safari
Advanced
Website Data

The sites he looked at came up, but there isn't any info on what dates they were accessed, how many times accessed - just KB info beside each site. I have his email password and have been in there and had a look - no dodgy emails.

Why do you need more info?

He has been on hook up sites. How do you feel about that? Is it a deal breaker for you? It would be for me but this is your life.

I would like more info before I make any decisions. I will google how to do it. Thanks anyway.

the question is, why were you looking? is there other behaviour that led you to search for that?

850Pro · 20/02/2015 17:20

Maybe he was on another site and the hookup site was just a popup message?

flippingstupidnickname · 20/02/2015 17:38

Sylvana, did you find out any more information? I have been in your situation if you want someone to talk to...

Cutleryhands · 20/02/2015 18:03

This is a bad idea. These sites can pop up in anyones history, look at the history as a whole. If there is little other than a few mentions of these sites then its pretty much nothing other perhaps viewing porn and getting a pop up. Could even be that he didnt visit a porn site at all but was redirected by some other site.
If all you are finding is this, either your looking on the wrong device or he just isnt doing anything wrong online. His phone is where you will find anything but has he done anything to make you suspect ?

Cutleryhands · 20/02/2015 18:08

Also, your not looking at history. The history is within safari itself, its the book icon next to the cloud top right corner. A menu appears then chose history........if there is only a few days there its because he clears it.

More worrying though is the website data you are looking at is data that those sites use to personalise your experience of those sites.......basically cookies. This would point to some sort of actual use of those sites rather than just visiting.

Cutleryhands · 20/02/2015 18:13

I take that last bit back. I have just looked at mine and there sites in there i have visited once and never entered anything and never gone back so do not assume it means hes doing it.

Thanks everyone, especially Cutleryhands for the techy stuff. I was just curious really, no worrying behaviour or reason to suspect anything on his part. Our sex life has been a quiet of late but everything else is fine, he is a good man. There is nothing on his phone, nothing in his emails, a couple of porn sites on his history plus that one odd looking site that caught my attention. He never clears his history so it's all there to see!

Good news although if he has given no reason to suspect probly best not to look ;-)

LittIeSongbird · 22/02/2015 18:44

You must have looked for some sort of reason. What were you searching for OP?

I would put it into context. If the site is something like Illicit Encounters or a fetish website then I might say to investigate. If it is something called "Sexbook" or other strangely named spam sites then I would go with "Pop-Ups"
