Hello

The College of Policing (which has a role in setting professional standards for the police in England and Wales) has launched a consultation on its draft professional advice to practitioners on handling domestic abuse situations and reports.

They've specifically ask for MNers' feedback, so if you'd like to respond please do so by clicking on the link.

Afraid it closes on the 18th of February (ie Wednesday) - apologies for the short notice.

Thanks Rowan. Might be one to consider giving a sticky on this board in light of the timescale? (For maximum exposure.)

Bump

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/02/2015 19:06

Hmmm ... well I've just had a look at the online form and it seems to me to be targeted more at DV workers than the general public

Or maybe I'm missing something??

StillInMeJimJams · 17/02/2015 20:34

I don't read it like that Puzzled. Some of the questions are targeted at professionals in the field but others clearly require the input of those who have experienced DA as to how the police can improve their response or what might help someone to report where they wouldn't at the moment.

OK. A further bump. Please provide feedback if you can/want to. This is important and could influence both policy and guidance.

Eek sorry, thought we had - have done it now - you've got until the end of today I think!
