I have finally understood what the phrase my Mum used to say means.

You must be quite young.

mildlyacquiescent · 12/02/2015 19:41

All mouth and no trousers, surely.

swarley · 12/02/2015 19:56

what does it mean?

AHatAHatMyKingdomForAHat · 12/02/2015 20:09

It means can talk the talk but not walk the walk, i.e. big talk, no action.

I always interpreted the no trousers bit as a polite way of saying "no balls".

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 20:31

I'm so sorry that young women are attracted to the bad boys. They're sometimes older. You will end up being a nurse.

Women live longer than men.

He's just asked me to hit him so that he can smash my face in.

OP posts:
albal14 · 12/02/2015 20:56

Tell him to grow up and then Fuck off!

onepieceoflollipop · 12/02/2015 20:58

are you ok inthetoblues?
That is an aggressive thing to say. Is your dp angry? Hope you are safe.

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 20:58

no way would I hit him. He's always been aggressive. He hates me and has just said I will called cunt from now on.

Once, when he nearly died, I looked towards being free.

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 12/02/2015 20:59

This sounds very worrying and sad...do you have support in rl?

SelfLoathing · 12/02/2015 21:07

How old are you in2theblues? are you living with this man?

This all sounds highly aggressive and dangerous. You need support and a safe place.

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 21:07

He knows he can't touch me because I'll report it. He's done it before and I have photos to prove it. I stayed, got over it, for the sake of my children.

He got ill with brain trauma. I stayed by him all the days he was nearly dead.

His now name for me is cunt.

OP posts:
CheerfulYank · 12/02/2015 21:10

What is going on?! None of this is okay.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/02/2015 21:19

What have your babies done to deserve being condemned to live with a man that calls their mother a cunt?

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 21:20

He's gone to bed and told me that I will always be known as Cunt.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/02/2015 21:22

Women's Aid 0808 2000 247. Call them, ask for refuge and give yourself and your children a fighting chance.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/02/2015 21:23

He's not 'all mouth and trousers' incidentally. He's just abusive.

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 22:05

Thank you CogitoErgoSometimes.

I have to go to work tomorrow. I think I'm good at what I do.

OP posts:
CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/02/2015 22:10

I'm sure you are good at what you do. Anyone can be a victim of abuse. It's no reflection on you as an individual. However, if you have the chance to get out of the abusive relationship and give yourself and your children a chance of a happy life, you should try to take it.

TwitterWooooo · 12/02/2015 22:13

I'm so confused, what is going on? I thought this thread was going to be explaining what different sayings meant!
It's taken a seriously nasty sinister turn, get the fuck out!!! Why stay for the sake of your babies? Where are the good reasons to stay? You should be "leaving" for the sake of your babies. In the middle of the night if necessary.

Branleuse · 12/02/2015 22:18

many people have left relationships with nothing but their children and the clothes on their backs. You can do that. The rest is just details

rockinrobintweet · 12/02/2015 22:22

i hope you're okay OP. here if you need to chat ?xx

Limer · 12/02/2015 22:26

He hates you. He wants to smash your face in. For your sake and the sake of your children, kick him out.

in2theblues · 12/02/2015 22:34

All mouth and trousers. It means they're fancyable and know the right songs.

A hundred years later they're calling you a cunt and leeching you as a carer. Get rid. If he wasn't good enough to start with he's not going to be good enough at the end.

OP posts:
CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/02/2015 22:44

So what's your next step? Are you planning to get out? Let someone else be his carer?
