I am interested as I can't believe my Dp is the only one not to 'get' the whole thing?

dont cry really!! well NEVER in front of anyone! dh and me have been together 5 yrs and he's never seen me cry. dont want to look pathetic and girlie...

I get 'come here' for a cuddle, then 'you are a daft apoth' and he tries to make me laugh if i'm crying over something soppy. If it's hormonal, i usually just tell him so,and he makes me a cup of tea to go with the hug. He's not bad in fairness!

If I cry during an arguement he gets cross....if its a genuine I'm in pain/upset for the kids or something similar, he hugs me til I'm better...if its a soppy cry, he takes the piss momentarily then gives me hugs. (he cried at Dr who the other night so revenge was mine!!!! )

frenchconnection - really? I don't think it's pathetic or girlie for your partner to see you cry.

calls me a cry baby and carries on as before - its usually him who has made me cry anyway.
