That's all, really.

A real live date with a real live man. Probably. Well, he's as real as you lot (words onna screen etc).

Do you have any good bits of pep talk for me?

Wooooo! I am not the person for a pep talk Confused Last 'date' I went on, the guy didn't show up!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 06/02/2015 22:35

Nice! Have fun!

bobs123 · 06/02/2015 22:38

Congrats Smile
As for pep talk....Relax? Have fun? Don't get sloshed before you go out?

bobs123 · 06/02/2015 22:39

Oh...just read he's as real as we are...so go somewhere you can leave easily if it doesn't work out Confused

BelaTheWonderPony · 06/02/2015 22:53

Are you not especially real then :o Wink

Well, he's as real as you lot (words onna screen etc).

So you haven't met him in RL, only online?

Yes - I believe I am real

hamptoncourt · 07/02/2015 11:49

My advice would be to focus on whether you like him rather than whether he likes you.

Listen carefully to what he says and trust your gut.

Don't be afraid to say no if he asks to see you again and you don't want to, it's just a date.

Have fun Grin

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 07/02/2015 12:22

Relax, and have fun. Is this your first online date? Is it daytime or night time? There is a dating thread, where we all discuss these things if you want to join in?

BelaTheWonderPony · 07/02/2015 18:34

First online date.

Lunchtime tomorrow.

Thanks hampton - my RL friend had the same advice - remember this is your free time, so make sure you're enjoying it (rather than worrying about what he is thinking)

There's a dating thread on here that you might like to join.

Goodbetterbest · 07/02/2015 22:34

Good luck!

BelaTheWonderPony · 08/02/2015 19:15

I had an enjoyable afternoon, but I didn't fancy him (and I don't think it likely that I would develop that kind of feeling either).

So I call that a successful date.

Thank you all for your support :)

Just have fun, and keep the conversation light-hearted. I like to pick locations I've always wanted to go, but couldn't for whatever reason. So even if I didn't bond with the person, I still enjoyed the experience.

McSqueezy · 08/02/2015 19:21

Oops! I didn't check the date.

On to the next one eh! Plenty of fish as the old saying goes!
