Does anyone know where I could get these free online? I've looked but not having much luck.

what kind of therapy do you mean?

CoolBananas · 17/01/2015 19:03

Not sure about about sourcing these online. I could describe the first 2 if that's any help - sadly we didn't progress past that point.

Thanks, that would be a help .
I meant the kind that helps you reconnect and try and get back to regular sex and close relationship. Last few years have been pretty sparse on the sex front, not helped by having a child but we can't afford therapy and H finds it difficult talking so thought we'd try to improve things on our own.

I'd be interested to know this too fruitandbarley we are in the same situation!

Relate has some tips on their website but quite honestly it's your relationship you need to work on, not the sex in isolation.

Do you have fun together, go out, have quality time? Do you put time aside to talk about your dreams, worries, ambitions in life?

fruitandbarley · 17/01/2015 20:22

Over the years we have done all of the above, but the regularity of sex has been rubbish throughout that whole time, I'm talking about 5-8 Times a year, we seem to have become very distant lately and certain things have happened that have made me realise I can't live like this. I feel so unwanted, undesired and lonely, and miss that intimacy that kept us close. He's said after me really pushing that he'll go to doctors but I suspect he'll not tell them directly why he's gone. He just all a bit indifferent about it all. If I wasn't bothered he wouldn't be. The only thing I can think is to try and kick start things a bit with this.

DH and I agreed to two specific nights a week that we would plan to go to bed early, and unless I really didn't feel like it, I had to at least try to be intimate even if it doesn't end in full sex. For me I had v low libido but usually was up for more once I got going.

It did work well.

Just have a few bottles of wine. That should sort things.

fruitandbarley · 17/01/2015 22:24

That's a rather flippant comment Simon, do you not think in all these years we've not had a few beers together. Its not that simple unfortunately.
