Mystery sender

I received a lovely Christmas present in the post today (with my name and surname on it); but the sender remains a mystery. Attached to my present was a note saying:

'Sorry. Enjoy this. Take care. x'

No name or anything of the sender. What does this mean? I'd be grateful for any thoughts or theories as the whole business has been driving me mad all day.

Seriously though, with the "sorry" I definitely wouldn't leave it around my house, it might be something perishable.

And compare handwriting to Xmas cards?

My Ex has been very unpleasant recently, but this was not his handwriting. The present was a treatment voucher for a massage/reflexology/reiki healing thing.

Yes, I am utterly bewildered with the 'sorry' thing. And why no name? Have gone a bit sleuth like with the whole business. Looked at handwriting styles on the internet, even phoned the said establishment to see what they thought.

Think I should just give up and accept it for the kind act it is.

Has your cat been run over lately or an garden ornament been smashed? Something accidental that someone wants to make amends for?

Racked my poor brains all day and all I can fathom is that it has something to do with the man next door but one. We had a few friendly meetings (no how's your father) over the summer at our respective houses but nothing came of it because he has a girlfriend.

Being a friendly neighbour I popped a Christmas card through this front door last week. Maybe a guilt thing on his behalf?

My 17 year old daughter and her sidekick made some enquiries with the said establishment yesterday and were told that a woman with brown hair bought the voucher last Monday and that she asked if it could be traced back to her.... Still utterly in the dark about it all but hey ho. A kind thought.

Is your ex in a new relationship ? Seems like the most obvious answer to me. Or does he have a mother or sister who might be ashamed how he has treated you?

Haven't a clue about the ex, but I did think at one point that maybe it was one of his lovers who sent the voucher to me. Again, probably barking up the wrong tree knowing me. Most unlikely to be his sister as she lives miles away.
