Omg I'm in shock.

I'm not with my sons father. My son is 5.

He just casually told me that his daddy took a picture of his butt and sent it to someone.

I asked him how he was standing and he showed me that he was laying on his back with his knees drawn to his chest and his anus exposed.

I'm shaking and in shock. What do I do? Shall I report it to the police?

I think you have done exactly the right thing, by the way - and your mum is just having an old-fashioned "don't wash your dirty linen in public, keep it all behind closed doors, don't tell anyone the shameful secret shit" reaction which allowed so many abusers to get away with their appalling behaviour for so long. Without getting too melodramatic, he might be in some kind of paedophile ring, or know someone in one - and if he is, then FUCK him every which way and I hope he rots in jail for years. AND the people he sent it to.
