Well I am settling into slightly lost single mum life now that the Captain has started school. His Dad isn't on the scene (one night stand) and I really don't want to start introducing other men into the house at all. We have some lovely male friends and my brother doing that job.

I would probably try tinder instead of POF for that.

I don't the sort of messages I've been getting on POF. If you're prepared to pay Match is probably your best bet.

Yeah . I tried Tinder a little. It is a mix of people who want sex in seedy hotels and married men. Mostly married men who want to meet during the day for sex. It was fun now and then but really want just to go back to casual dating where there is noting implied or planned. Just see how it goes.

Match is just too expensive and it got me nowhere. Not really looking for proper dates and long walks on winters days in the country.

Or does anyone know some nice single chaps near Cambridge?

Just like to say I have successfully used POF for what, I think, you describe.

100% of the sex coming from POF has been at least "quite good" and 50% of the men have turned out to be way better (like, as people) than I expected. The other 50% ranged from "a bit odd" to "meh, alright".

It has been slow going, though! If I had more time and was more active in using the site, though, I'm sure I could be giving you even more positive data! You just have to be open minded about things not going perfectly to plan and also quite picky.

I would recommend POF over any of the other dating websites and believe me I've tried them all!
Tinder - never looked like their pictures
Match - dull
Eharmony - dull
POF - I met some decent people who I'm still in touch with, people who I could hook up with if I wanted to and finally, someone I'm now having a great relationship with (I know this isn't what you're looking for but just as an example)
I did make it quite explicit in my profile what I did and didn't want and found that I didn't get too many cranks luckily!

For chatting I met them online and then chatted on whatsapp

But what I really mean are those sites where you could register completely anonymously and then, if you wanted, have some text or phone sex, but it was very removed from real life.

POF I have to put my photo up and Watsapp is my real number.

You don't have to put a photo up on POF , and even if you do, you can hide them anyway so they only show up to people you message and not just any ole so and so who happens to stumble across your profile.

Specify that you're only looking for something casual, flirting etc. and away you go. There will be plenty of people looking for the same thing.
