Yet another argument with dp ending up with him walking out on me and dcs.

Its been like this for nearly 5yrs now and i am sick of it all, i am so down and feel so low.

Hes pysically, emotionally and verbally abusive. Everything i do is wrong everything i say is wrong. Everything has to be his way on his terms all the time. He treats me like a child, he tells me not to back chat him! Im 30 ffs im allowed an opinion!
Early i was dozing on the sofa dcs were watching a film, he came in and shook me awake, but then went to sleep himself. Hes on at me all the time. He puts me on edge. He says ive said or done something when i havent. I dont want him to come back when he goes but i dont stand up to him and just let him back in.

Call womansaid. Don't let your children grow up thinking this is normal

Hatespiders · 18/10/2014 21:03

As you say, you're 30, and can take control of your own life if you try. Nobody in their right mind would stay with such a man, so what's keeping you in this abusive relationship? And your poor children! They must be very badly affected by the abuse they see from him.
Be strong, contact Women's Aid and get help. Have you no family in RL who could support you? Or a friend?
You MUST stand up to him, and leave, but get advice first to protect yourself from harm.
You could find something much, much better ahead if you're strong now and break free.

Why not change your nn to 30andabouttogetalife ? He sounds like a twat and you don't need him. LTB or rather, throw him out. 5 years is along time to live with this sort of behaviour and you'll feel much better when he's gone.

What are your domestic arrangements like OP? Do your rent or do you own? If you can just change the locks, do you need to speak to a landlord and get a new contract? As you are not married it's a lot easier to separate. See a solicitor and get some arrangements in place this week. You will know what your options are then

CogitoErgoSometimes · 19/10/2014 07:11

If 'sick of it' means you've decided to part ways, then please get as much advice and support as you can. Women's Aid 0808 2000 247 is a good place to start if you are escaping abuse. They can offer help in making a plan or possibly refuge if you are at risk. Also, please talk to family and friends. The more people that know the truth, the easier it will be to leave him behind. Good luck

Get out asap OP. Don't waste another day of your life with this person.

What is the house and work situation? Is it your house and do you work?
