Do they always fight?

I have a 13 year old and a 4 year old and the 13 year old is always on the youngest back even if they are loving.

Nothing majorly horrible just stupid arguments and lies about each other.

I only have little ones with small age gaps so probably not comparable. They get on really well so far. Play together constantly and are mostly very nice to each other but there are small arguments every day. Don't take the stupid arguments to heart. Your kids will have forgotten them 5 minutes after they happen.

Its probably pretty healthy and normal if they are BOTH jostling for their place and if it generally doesn't get too nasty.

But with such an age gap you might address this with the older one. Are they feeling a bit pushed out or ignored? Are they resenting having more responsibility?
