I dont normally do the DM but i spotted this in my TL last week. It is one of the saddest most heart rending things ive ever read.
What happened to this man as a child was absolutely horrific.
What is happening currently is heartbreaking.
There is no intimacy between him and his wife because of what happened to him as a child.
However the article claims that it will change the way the reader thinks about love!
His wife is taking anti depressants to help cope with the lack of intimacy. What happened to him is affecting her too. Is the cycle carrying on but just in a different way?
I was actually heartened to see some of the comments underneath the article pointing out that the situation isnt fair on her.
Whatever sentence this mans abusers get/got it is not nearly enough!

I heard a radio interview with the man a couple of weeks ago. It was the most poignant and painful interview I've heard in a long time, so much so that I was late for an appointment so that I could listen to his whole story - because it felt like to turn off the radio would've been disrespectful.

I saw him on Channel 4 news a while back. That was a very poignant interview too.
He said in that interview that what happened to him as a child left him unable to form relationships so i didnt realise he was married until i saw the above article.
