any books which would help me and my husband repair our relationship. We are both aware that we have lost a bit of respect for each other and are leading quite separate lives. Need something with ideas on how to take steps to get back to where we were and improve our friendship and intimacy.

Can't really recommend any books although no doubt you will find numerous books if you go on google or amazon.
How about forgetting about the books and try to live out what you would hope to achieve in your relationship.
How about trying to say one really nice, positive thing to each other every day. How about meeting up somewhere for coffee or afternoon tea. How about trying to look through old photo albums together or cook a meal for each other. Just try some small steps to try and get back on track with each other. I am not saying don't read the books but I am sure you already know some quite simple techniques that could begin the long climb back to a close relationship again. Small steps will hopefully lead onto bigger steps and eventual happiness. Learn to like each other again and to see the positives in each other.

thanks, we are going to be going to counselling. I wondered if the book 'I love you but I am not in love with you' was any good?
