Meeting partners son for the first time in about an hour...

... And I'm really nervous!

DP and I have been together for just under a year, he doesn't get a chance to see his DS as he lives quite far away but he's been here this week and before he goes back they are having dinner at DPs house tonight and I'm here too.

I can't wait to meet him but I'm really surprised at how nervous I am considering I've been a nanny for nearly 15 years so I'm used to kids Blush

Sorry, that should say he doesn't get a chance to see his DS as often as he'd ideally like. Oops.

How old is his son? Hope all goes well!

He's 6 and apparently 'quite shy' Smile

Thanks!!

well Minecraft is in and also Loop bands for boys and girls.

Do you know where he is going on holiday over the summer? ask a bit about that.

I am sure you will be fine :)

I don't know but I know he's been on London this week and they went to the Zoo on Thurs so will ask how that was maybe.

I'm sure it'll be fine, just wasn't prepared to be quite so nervous about it all. So silly. Lol Blush

Good luck - just be yourself and don't try too hard.

DP just dropping him back to Mum now.
I think it went Ok! I spoke to him a little bit but he was mainly playing Lego Marvel with DP on the XBox, so I took a back seat, dished up dinner etc, shouted words of encouragement during their epic battle Lol.

Was really nice to meet him thou Smile

tired First thing he mentioned was Minecraft Grin

Glad it went well, sounds like you did the best thing, be there but letting DP have good contact time.

Minecraft - see, so funny Grin

I wasn't sure about it when we first came across it earlier this year, but DS really likes it. There are "user" guides you can buy. They seem quite helpful (£3-99 from book people or the works).

Thanks Smile Was really nice to see my DP in a different role too iyswim. A successful few hours all round I'll say!

I think I shall definitely brush up on my Minecraft for the future so thanks for those Grin
