birthday gift suggestions for new boyfriend?

We will have been together for less than 2 months on his birthday and I have no idea what to get him or how much money to spend! I'll make him a cake based on something he's interested in (a motorbike probably) as I used to have my own cake business but wanted to get him a little gift too!

Another cake-maker... is there a full-moon or something? :) After two months stick to something small and thoughtful. Good one for bikers are those 'Buff' neckwarmers. (Speaks from experience)

Ok I'll Google it, thanks!

I'm quite looking forward to making a cake actually... closed my business about a year ago when my exh left. Made a carousel cake yday for a friend's bday and really enjoyed getting back into it. Glad I didn't sell all my equipment!

Take him out for a curry and beer

holeinmyheart · 05/07/2014 18:17

I don't know a man who doesn't love a cake, Sassy. Go for it ! Also a little pot of Nutella with a label on saying 'what do you think this is for? Well it has only been three months. Sex and food, my husband would be in heaven ! Something for you there as well!

holeinmyheart · 05/07/2014 18:18

Sorry less than two months.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 05/07/2014 18:20

Please don't do him a motorbike cake.... he'll feel like he's 10yo....

gamerchick · 05/07/2014 18:21

Cake, curry, beer and blowjob that early in.

Well it's never failed me yet Grin

I just do not understand the thinking behind making new boyfriends cakes. This is the 2nd posts about this. It makes no sense to me.

isseywithcats · 05/07/2014 19:24

my boyfriend and i have been together 6 months and ive got him 2 cds for his birthday 2 for £9 from asda

pursinghappiness · 05/07/2014 22:27

Take him out for dinner. I'm not sure about the cake thing; I would have made one but never thought about the 'he'll feel like a 10 year old boy' thing. I've never made a novelty cake though, just a nice cake that I know they like :-/

Sassy777 · 05/07/2014 23:15

He actually casually mentioned me making a cake for him so it won't be a surprise for him. He's a bit obsessed with bikes...

Gamerchick that made me laugh!!

Make him a crash helmet cake, rather than a motorbike cake. Even better if you can make it the same as his hat.

Joysmum · 06/07/2014 00:07

One year I got my DH some gorgeous precision engineered bits for his bike including dust caps and tax disk holder. Oberon do fantastic quality stuff.

Sassy777 · 06/07/2014 00:55

Joysmum are you reading my mind lol! His hero is valentino rossi and I really eat to make his helmet... If I can get that face printed onto edible paper... I don't have one of those machines unfortunately.

Sassy777 · 06/07/2014 00:56

Really eat? Lol. Really WANT!

Rossi is lovely, I'm not surprised. Do that and get him a 46 T-shirt. The perfect solution as it's not too personal. Also throw in some anti Lorenzo comments and you'll have him hooked! Grin
