Female friend invited me to spend this weekend with her - potential relationship?

Hi All,

Been really good friends with a lovely lady for a few months now.

Both single and in our mid-30s, talk or text most days and get on great.

There's always been great chemistry between us although it never went further than flirting and holding hands etc as we were both newly single after long relationships and we both said we weren't looking for anyone or ready for a relationship.

She moved to a new city a few weeks ago and last Sunday invited me over for this weekend. I'm going but it's got me overthinking.

No mention of where I'm sleeping - sofa/floor/bed?! - so I'm wondering whether she's now ready to move towards a relationship?

I'll be my usual gentlemanly self and will see how it goes but just curious for other points of view as to what may be going on here - is it a 'normal' thing to do or is she (literally) opening the door for me?

LG

Ask her, not us.

Obviously you've got your answer if she opens the door starkers

There's really no way to tell until you get there!

It could be that she only sees you as a friend and has invited you on that basis alone.

Go not expecting anything other than friendship and see what happens.

I'm sure she will let you know if she intends to take it further. :)

Unless there's a spider in the bath

In which case you might have to ask instead of pouncing saying 'hello ladies' in that vaguely creepy way

Yeah, I moved to Paris, many years ago. Invited my male friend for the weekend- I was living in a bed sit at the time.
Spent the weekend shagging his brains out, as was my plan.

In my opinion, there's a good chance of a good seeing to.

I think she might be opening the door.........just hope it's not too draughty!

Good luck, LondonGuy - hope it all goes according to Atavistic's plan well.
