Background
From 22 January, a Domestic Abuse Surgery will be available at the Customer Centre at
Hove Town Hall, every Wednesday morning between 9am and 12 noon.
Through the Surgery, women and men of all ages will be able to access specialist
information and advice.
The Surgery is provided by staff from Sussex Police and RISE, the Brighton & Hove
domestic abuse service.
The Domestic Abuse Surgery offers people:
• A private, safe space to talk through their concerns
• A chance to find out more about the options available to them, including how and
where to get help
• Advice on housing options, finances, substance misuse or mental health issues.

• Information about their partner’s offending history
