Have a thread in chat so not going to fo into detail but just as the title says really.

I need to learn to stand up to her and not let her rule my life.

Any tips? ?

The three Ds: Detachment, distance, distraction (i.e. distract her, not let yourself be driven to distraction).

Definitely distance helps. Reduce their opportunities for involvement in your life and limit contact to times and methods that you initiate more than they do. Also perfect the art of smiling, nodding and then doing the exact opposite. i.e maintain a sense of humour and proportion :)
