How big is the fucking thing ?

Chibbs · 17/08/2013 16:49

Grin bless him! they are easily pleased at times

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/08/2013 16:50

Just a speaker? Not a huge TV? Change the locks, quick!

SummerRain · 17/08/2013 16:54

Red or grey.

Seriously though, is the car he was in really tiny? How big can a speaker be? Confused

Diamondcassis · 17/08/2013 17:00

Apparently it's in "a really big box". To not fit in a (small admittedly) car it has to be a monster though, yes? He's full of glee and has gone off to get it now. I couldn't speak.

Oh. I'm disappointed. I thought you meant he was pimping up the CAR and had bought a huuuge sound system and needed the car with the bigger boot to fit the speaker in to permanently.

Grin

I feel your pain. At one point we had six of the bloody things. Two at the side, two at the back of the room, a centre speaker and a bass speaker beside the doorway because apparently that's where they resonate best. And a huge fuck off great tv in the middle.

Our loving room looked like a bachelor pad. I made him get rid of some when we redecorated.

GemmaTeller · 17/08/2013 17:13

I read it wrong - I thought you meant he was buying a new car to fit the new speakers in Blush

I recently bought three sets of storage drawers for my sewing room from tesco direct, measured them up and they fitted perfectly under my sewing/cutting table.

Went to pick them up in my punto- they were in boxes TWICE the size of the actual set of drawers - I had to make two trips!

My DS has a DJ sideline and needs DH's huge estate to move his speakers. The base is bigger than most fridges and he had 2 mahoosive sets of speakers creating a wall in his room! (He gets it from DH who has s love of huge speakers too). Agree that the boxes they come in are really scary sizes though Smile

MonstersDontCry · 17/08/2013 17:35

That's the sort of thing my dad would do. Grin

Diamondcassis · 17/08/2013 18:11

milli you say fridge-sized. Gulp. He has not come back yet. I'm hoping my face said it all & he has returned it, even if it means he sulks and mopes all evening
