Hopefully some of you lovely ladies can help with this.

My sister has been married for five years, she has two children with the husband.

She has been unhappy for a while and actually left this week. Problem is, she has never been allowed to work or have her own money and she has no idea how she is going to survive. She wants to get a job, she the children regularly and sort herself out. She is living with me and I intend to look after her. Anyone know how we would go about getting Jobseeker's Allowance for her while she's looking. Also, any other organisations that can help would be good! Smile

I'd also recommend that she runs her circumstances in the first instance through www.turn2us.org.uk where there is a very good benefits checker. CAB will be able to help her further and can also offer some legal advice. I'd strongly recommend she gets hold of a good solicitor specialising in Family Law. Some offer a free initial consultation. How old are the children and are they still with their father?
