Hi ladies ( I thought I'd already posted this but can't find it so apologies if it appears twice ) I've used this site a few times and always found it invaluable for advice and support but was wondering does anyone ever take it any further than this site?? Ie are there any groups that meet up? Do people ever swap numbers or meet up for coffee etc? I'm a ( pretty much ) single mum of 3 children and am currently on maternity leave as my daughter is only 6 months old - I have an on/off partner who I really should leave as he treats me awfully but I feel so isolated that sometimes his bad company seems better than none at all ( stupid I know!!!)
I live in stafford, staffordshire I don't drive and all my family live down south so I only see them a couple of times a year .... I do have a few friends who I see very occasionally as none of them have children and all have very busy social lives which unless i can manage to get down the pub to see them ( which I can't ) I can't seem to find a time we can meet up
Just wondering if there was anyone locally who also would like another friend to talk to, swap numbers, email or poss meet up with occasionally??? Is that something that happens from here or is member contact restricted to the site???
Thanks for listening :) xx

Try posting on mumsnet local and find people in your local area. Meetups are actively encouraged
