Under pressure from every direction. Feeling close to burnout, how to relieve this?

Am feeling under pressure. I worked 12 days straight with total 80 hrs in last seven days.
Today I get up and there are papers and dust everywhere, we need a real spring clear out. Stuff everywhere.
I have an exam I just paid for 400 pounds, six weeks to revise while full time plus.
Work is beyond demanding taking all my energy.
I cannot have leave for 4 weeks as my senior is off and we have to alternate to cover.
I feel I am starting to get snappy at work as excessive demands are placed on my time... One of the most stressful jobs there is. I feel bad for being irritable at work last week obviously it's better to be calm and pleasant.

The mess is a pain as I worked last weekend and now I have to do all that before I can move onto other things.

Family are quite lazy although they do cope when I am working overnight etc.
I have help but just for dc and a little after school tidying.

Aaarrrrgggghhhhhh

That's a bit better already

Are you the only adult in the house? Can you give family members specific jobs and a time to do them by?

You need to find a little space for yourself somehow. Meditation and/or exercise might be helpful. Hope things get better for you soon...

No, my dh looks after ds at the weekend and does dishwasher etc if I am at work ( he works too) and drops him at school and mainly sorts his bags.
There is unescorted paperwork etc that is in piles..dh will not sort it.
I feel absolutely overwhelmed.

The only way is action. Have done kitchen and bathroom . Feeling slightly calmer.
Am trying to remember people had it much tougher in days gone by.

Just wanted to extend my sympathies - I am also suffering from household mess and nobody helping with it (though I don't have the other pressures you do!) No advice unfortunately, just a hug. (Yes I know, we don't do that on Mumsnet, but I like being a rebel Grin)
