PUBES!!

Insecure24 · 28/02/2013 19:40

So been having a discussion with dp about pubes. I have a Hollywood monthly, everything off. My choice, I hate having pubes but he admits to preferring me being without for oral sex. So over dinner we were discussing our days and I said "oh I went for my wax after work" to which he replied "imagine if I was bald there too". Jokingly thank god but I practically choked on my pasta. Do men really do the sack, back n crack?!

Some people like their partner to be hairy (male and/or female) and some dont.. it is all down to personal preference.

I know plenty of men who wax and shave the majority of their body hair.

I am sure hair may have protected from dirt etc when we walked around as cave people without underwear or clothes of any kind, and did not have the facilities to wash our bodies and clothing as we do now, but I would say it certainly serves no real purpose these days.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 28/02/2013 21:17

The dirt argument doesn't make sense. Children don't have it. Old people lose most of it. Are they less susceptible to dirt? Nowadays, it still signals sexual maturity and it still traps pheromones.

My routine is neat, but woman, not pre-pubescent girl.

I think I would quite like it if DP had his balls done. I find that pausing to spit out pubes spoils the mood a bit.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 28/02/2013 21:50

The friction argument makes sense.

I didn't know old people lost their pubes.

Midwife99 · 28/02/2013 22:01

Yes - I accidentally saw my ancient 95 year old grandma naked. Completely hairless Blush

If you shave regularly, you dont get itchy stubble, or rashes, just smooth clean skin.

I dont really agree with the theory that it is mainly young girls who do it either, I am 43, have always shaved (waxing far too painful!), and the vast majority of my friends shave it all off too.

I have never actually asked my husband what he prefers, because I do it for ME and my personal comfort and preference.

Grin at uppatree's "professional interest" and male-model back, crack and sack waxing! Now THAT kind of demo would liven up many an office training session!

getmeoutofthismadhouse · 01/03/2013 01:40

My ex used to shave his pubes, crack and sack regularly and it weren't til after we split and I went with a guy who didn't that I realised I liked the fact he was tidy. You don't get the stray hairs in your mouth and it can make a man's manhood
Look that extra 1 or 2 inches bigger aswell if they ainain't got pubes covering the base ...

dondon33 · 01/03/2013 04:41

My dp does a bit of a trim and edge, he's like a bear and has masses of hair so I prefer him to keep his pubic area and balls short. His 'crack' is surprisingly not that hairy considering the rest of him is, but I'm not bothered anyway - I don't have contact with my mouth/tongue back there Smile

I would never get him to wax it all off Bleurghh! not a sexy look - rather like a freshly plucked turkey Grin

I keep my own very short and neat and shave around the sides - I prefer it that way. I have had it all taken off, many times, and while I prefer the freshness the upkeep and irritation is just too much.

People who suffer ingrown hairs - buy a scrunchie or scratchy mitt and every time you shower or bathe gently scrub the shaved area - since I started doing it a few years back I haven't had any probs with the hairs growing back through.

Rugbycomet · 01/03/2013 08:04

Most gay men are completely hair free. Apparently it makes their penis look bigger!!! Grin

BelaLugosisShed · 01/03/2013 08:15

I can't imagine anything less sexy than a completely hair free man or woman.
Plus , where does hair removal stop on a man, what about that gorgeous trail of hairs from the navel down? That bit and his armpits are my favourite part of DH , hairless armpits on a man make me want to throw up a little bit, totally sexless and sterile.

Midwife99 · 01/03/2013 09:58

Heave!!! I agree - that sexy line of hairs!!

Yes! DD does waxing and nails and all that, its her job - yes, guys have it all off! Hilarious, she says they complain about the pain far more than any woman does! Do you think it hurts them more perhaps? Given its, well, their balls?

moonfacebaby · 01/03/2013 10:17

That lovely line of hair on a mans tummy - I call it a treasure trail Smile..

My DP has a gorgeous hairy chest but does keep himself trim down below - which i do prefer, as I don't think I could go anywhere near a pair of hairy balls with my mouth!!

As for me - just trimmed & shaved - I don't think I could ever whip the whole lot off, as it would be too prepubescent looking for me - but each to their own, I guess.

Midwife99 · 01/03/2013 10:48

Treasure trail!!! Grin

IfNotNowThenWhen · 01/03/2013 13:08

Please! I'm trying to eat my lunch.

anonacfr · 01/03/2013 16:07

Please don't link a picture of Nadal like that.... Eewww

I am a bit stunned at the stubbly inner thighs issue. People have hair on their inner thighs that need shaving???

Toadinthehole · 03/03/2013 02:34

I read a newspaper article some years back that said infections of crabs had become very uncommon due to pubic waxing. I remarked to my (doctor) father, surely the men don't. He laughed and said 'you know nothing!'

I understand that in some cultures men have been taking it ask off for ages.

Bertrude · 03/03/2013 04:36

Husband did it once.

The funniest thing was that he didn't do his legs, so he looked like he had shaved undercrackers on because he was bald down to about boxer-short line and then had hairy legs, and still a hairy chest and belly.

He didn't get why I thought it was funny until he looked in a mirror.

He's never done it again.
