Hmmmm, about DHs reaction to vaginas. Opinions pease?

Just shown DH the above image (prompted by a thread in AIBU), with the intention of saying 'look, what a good thing, to show that not all women are the same' sort of thing.

Before i could say anything he looked at it and said 'ugh'. 'Eww', in fact, and pulled a face.

I'm and that that was his gut reaction. I told him as much, and we bickered.

I know this isn't a big deal, but i think it's a shame. I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable about it tbh. Isn't it a bit odd of him? My gut reaction to an image of a penis isn't 'ugh'.

I think it's fascinating....not ughhhh at all! But I wouldn't be surprised by that reaction. It's not designed to be pornographic or appeal in a titilating way. But, as a female, I really appreciate the message that everyone is different...and there isn't just one version of what your vulva/vagina should look like.

Also love that my iPad just auto-corrected vagina to caging.

Let's face it, genitals are just odd. They are a bit 'ew.' Especially those plaster casts. Strangely lifeless and flappy.

actually, the wall didn't make go eww it was some of the vaginas, and that is down to personal taste as when I pointed them to dp he didnt particularly dislike them, but he realy disliked the ones with piercings!

I am a student midwife. Doesn't stop me from thinking that male and, especially, female genitalia are quite ugly. And yes, my reaction to the Great Wall of Vagina was also "ugh!".

Reproduction is fascinating, but the organs themselves are ugly as hell...

I am frankly shocked by the amount with piercings. And yes, disembodied vulvas are ugly. I think mine is pretty ace after seeing this. I mean really when people go to see this exhibition all they will be doing is saying 'Ooh thats a good one' and 'Urgh! That one's fucking dreadful!'
And men's peni look like plucked chickens.
