Feeling mystified. PIL are somehwat from a different planet anyhow but they have presented me for my birthday with... a home chocolate fondue fountain. I mean in what alternative universe might I use such a thing? In the one where I don't have three small children and a f/t job and a crumbly overcrowded house? Where I give gracious dinner parties of a sort where a chocolate fountain would be a feature (or maybe carkey parties??!) Where we we use the silver grape scissors that dP got for his birthday...
Anybody wanna buy a home chocolate fondue fountain?

Hello mi, yes I meant to do a birth announcement thread but then I had that terrible 14-year-old thought "what if no one posts on my thread?" - how sad is that....

Am interested by how many people reckon they would get use out of chocolate fountain - are you sure? Isn't it one pf thsoe things like a facial sauna that gets used once and then takes up space?

but the thing about a facial sauna is, it doesn't involve eating chocolate!

also you'd be surprised at what you can get the kids to eat when it's dipped in choc . ds for example won't eat strawberries, but will if I pour a little melted choc on them. I think with the added excitemnt of a fountain, he's eat chocoalte coated carrots.

our local Thorntons currently have one in store..you can do your own coated stuff (food I mean!!...fruit etc)

I could have stood and watched it for hours....felt like tilting my head and trying to get it to run into my mouth !!

Dunno if I would like one at home though. Like KP said, its one of those gifts that you use once and then it takes up space.
