Why is the 'Why Does He Do That?' book not on Kindle? Should we try and get Amazon to put it on there?

Somebody pointed out recently that Lundy Bancroft's book is not on Kindle.

And yet if any book OUGHT to be avaible on Kindle, this is the one.

Women would be able to read it more discreetly, away from controlling partners.

Anybody looked into this with Amazon before?

No, you should first speak to the author/publisher to see why they have not given permission for it to be on Kindle.

Hmm, seems it's available on the American version of Amazon but not on the amazon.co.uk site.

You need to contact the publisher then.

There's a box on the page for the book that says
"Tell the publisher!
I'd like to read this book on Kindle."

Amazon cannot effect the publication of it on Kindle and aren't going to be able to tell you anything other than it's up to the author/publisher and that you should use the link provided to tell the publisher.

I guess lots of MN people could use that link on Amazon to tell the publisher.

Ok thanks, I hadn't noticed that box. I've just clicked it.

If anyone else would like to do the same, that'd be great.

Yes. It should be on Kindle, or ePub or something people can read on a device.

I have clicked the 'tell the publisher' link at amazon, and hope other MNers will join me in this.

Thanks ladywordy.

Here's the amazon/lundy page for anyone else who'd like to click the Tell the Publisher link
