I think i just have the hump this morning.

It was DP's birthday on Thursday. He hasnt heard from his parents until his dad rang an hour ago. DP wasnt in - he doesnt know yet.

Apparently his mum was going to drop his card off but was running late on Thursday and couldnt manage it. But, they "hadnt forgotten".

Anyway, he went on to say, "so im getting x installed next weekend and wondered whether DP could come and sort out all the cabling"

Grrrr - now i know what prompted the phone call its peeved me. Its over 2 days since his birthday. They are retired - its not like they are THAT busy.

I am just being a grumpy old sod arent i?

Nope. My PILs are the same - don;t mind so much from his stepdad but you'd think his mum could remember the day she gave birth to him. She always manages to arrange to visit for my birthday (they live 300 miles away thank god) even though, quite frankly, I'd really rather she didn't!
