I just wanted to post again to let everyone who was kind enough to read my last thread that I am now in the UK with my sister.

It is such a huge relief to be here away from the terrible situation I was in. I was able to sleep soundly for a few hours last night knowing we were safe, until my daughter decided it was time to get up!

I am going to see if I am still registered with my old doctor today or if not the re-register as I want to have my the last injury inflicted on me checked out.

thanks you for taking the time to read my posts.
I had nowhere else to turn to and the compassion of complete strangers gave me courage and comfort to leave.

Keep posting if it'll help you process everything? You've been through such a lot, and a lot of the women on here will have a similar experience - re the abuse - which might help if you're finding your reactions are surprising you?
