Anyone married but miss male company?

Growing up i was always around males, got on better with them than girls, as a teenager i always had a group of friends that were boys

Since getting older i miss that, im married, have been for nearly 10 yrs but after a rocky patch and not communicating i signed up to a dating site to search for friends only, i now talk to 2 blokes, nothing sexual, maybe the odd flirt but nothing in it, just chat really, me and my husband are back on track but is it wrong to talk to these guys, they know my situation so im not leading them on, i enjoy talking to men coz its less bitchy i think

What do u think?

Nothing whatsoever wrong with having male friends and being married, of course. But don't be naive. People you meet on dating sites, even if they know your situation, are not looking for a pen-pal. Does your husband know you chat to them?

Hmm

Have you tried chat sites rather than dating ones? Might be be a bit more appropriate.

Go to twitter

Loads of men on there

Lueji · 24/08/2012 15:13

I agree with picnic.

Do you contact them through the dating site?

What would your husband think if he found out?
Would you be happy to deal with the fall out?

HeadsInAMuddle,in your heart of hearts,[and you may need some decent amount of time to think about this],what do you want to happen about these 2 blokes?

MrsBucketxx · 24/08/2012 15:17

looks like a recipe for disaster, on dating sites your leading these guys on.

i would look to maybe joining a club in rl where men might join to in a non dating way like running or cycling.

i miss girly chat way more than getting my ego stroked by some guy.

I would be very wary where this may lead. What if you and dh hit a rough patch, would you be tempted to suggest a meet up or what if one of them suggested it. What would your dh say if he knew about this?

oh dear. have a think how you would feel if your husband was chatting to two women on a dating site. would it bother you? If yes then you need to delete it and stop then start afresh properly with your husband.

Taghain · 24/08/2012 15:44

So long as they know it's for friendship only, it's fine.
My DP used to go away for weekends with male friends, which I'm happy with - I knew the guys and if anything happened I was never told about it. Similarly, when married I've been away with female mates and it didn't bother DP too much.
It will depend upon your relationship and amount of trust between you.

This presumably is a wind up ?
You are asking everyone to sa it's OK for you to join a dating site to meet other men, whilst you are married ? Can you imagine the replies if you'd come on here and said your husband had done this ?
