Dating a woman in the closet

I have been seeing a woman for 3 months now and we are getting on really well and i know she is not out to her friends, Mum and Dad. Do you think you can have a strong healthy relationship with someone who is not out but you are?

Thanks for all the kind messages. She is not close to her parents but sees them a couple of times a month which is not a lot really. Like i said her parents don't ask about her personal life and she has said that if they asked it would be private. They may know already as i think most parents do deep down. I think this relationship could work as she is out to close friends. At the end of the day im dating her and if i didn't like her parents or friends then at the end of the day i don't have to see them.

good luck paula! if my woman was interested in me I'd be over the moon, even if it had to be a secret for a while..if she chose not to tell some people and so didn't I, it'd be fine. as far as SOME people knew once we knew that it's going somewhere.

I think the key is not who she's out to but. whether she's comfortable in her skin. I agree there'll be trouble ahead if this is symptomatic of deeper problems, which will get v tiring

Much easier being with people who are at ease with themselves. Listen to your gut on this one

true, joblot. is she content with the fact she is gay?
