Bit of a daft one but do I tell him now or later?

So, meant to be spending the night at new man's house tonight. It will be the 2nd time we have spent the night together so naturally, he'll be expecting a shag as was I

However, my period is well over a week late and guess what - mother nature has decided today would be a great time for it to arrive Angry

Do I tell him before I get there that sex is out of the question tonight or spring it on him later tonight? lol

Why is sex out of the question because you're menstruating?

LynetteScavo · 12/08/2012 12:26

Oooh, tricky one.

I bet he'll still want to shag you, anyway. Men are like that.

NikitasSidekick · 12/08/2012 12:27

Well - it's messy innit! Grin OCD

Well I can quite understand why you wouldnt want your first time with someone to be while you are on. That is just a bit too much really.

I would just make a comment about having period pains so that he knows the situation without needing an in depth discussion about it.

SirSugar · 12/08/2012 12:40

there is more than one way to skin a cat Wink

M0naLisa · 12/08/2012 12:41

For the first time I wouldn't know ht to do but I know my Dh would just suggest getting the shower....together Wink

LynetteScavo · 12/08/2012 12:41

Did you shag him last time you spent the night together?

If so it's the 2nd time, so just go with the flow... (do you see what I did there?)

izzyizin · 12/08/2012 12:43

It can be surprisingly unmessy. In any event, bath towels are multi-purpose items that can easily be washed.

If there's no religious bar, why the squeamishness?

something2say · 12/08/2012 12:47

I'd go with the mention of period pains and see what happens after that. Personally I like sex during my period as it eases the pain, but I understand that some women don't.

What's your take on it? Have fun anyway!

NikitasSidekick · 12/08/2012 13:03

Ooo I don't know - I'm a bit embarrassed by any mess (ridiculous I know).

But then, if he's not bothered?

It's not our first time - we had sex last time we slept together 4 times Grin

Houseofplain · 12/08/2012 13:09

A lot of men aren't bothered by it. It wouldn't stop me. But I do get what you are saying, it's a new relationship, still working out the limits, etc.

NikitasSidekick · 12/08/2012 13:13

It's very, very light at the moment so I'm hoping it will bugger off again. I don't know what's up with me this month but I'd had this period "try" 3 times now and it keeps stopping Confused

OP posts:
Houseofplain · 12/08/2012 13:15

You haven't done anything sill have you? Like get pregnant on a first date?

NikitasSidekick · 12/08/2012 13:18

No no - 2 negative pregnancy tests and it was only last week we slept together so too early for that anyway. If it doesn't start properly by tomorrow I'm going to the doctors for a blood test but I'm assuming it's down to stress.

Rowanhart · 12/08/2012 13:23

Totally understand about not wanting to do it for the first time. Ifi am honest I would come up with an excuse not to stay and look forward to the next stop over.

AKissIsNotAContract · 12/08/2012 13:24

have bumsex instead

Lueji · 12/08/2012 13:32

I'd tell him and let him decide.

izzyizin · 12/08/2012 13:52

Why have you found it necessary to have 2 pg tests? Don't you use contraception?

NikitasSidekick · 12/08/2012 14:03

Long story. I do use contraception (of course!) but I had an 'experience' with a nasty ex 6 weeks ago and cant be 100% sure that a condom was used there. As I said, long story - there is a thread on it somewhere if you're interested.

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 12/08/2012 18:48

Good grief, if I were using contraception and was a week late I'd have used more than 2 pregnancy tests!

LynetteScavo · 12/08/2012 18:49

that wasn't @ you, NikitasSidekick
