what to do with photos etc of exP

Was wondering what people do with photos etc and gifts given by their ex?
Yes tempting to burn them/delete from computer.. but, finding at the moment i cant. But i keep looking through them. It was a relatively short relationship (13 months) after being with exH over 10 yrs (still have those photos and i am ok with that)
Dont know why i find it so painful after what he put me through, stalking etc and EA but i do :-( why though?

If you're dwelling on these photos and gifts to the extent that it's preventing you from moving on with your life, get rid of them. If you could put them in a metaphorical drawer and not keep looking it would be different. The way control-freak EA types work is that they keep you harking back to the good times, wondering what you have to do to get them back and ever hopeful that the future will be better. If you've spent a year+ living like that, the photos will carry on where he left off. Best to get him out of your consciousness completely. Clean break

I will keep all photos, jewellery and ornaments for my DD when she is older. Apart from one. STBXH gave me an Eeyore or ament which says "I love you because you're you".

Seeing as he left me because he no longer loves me and criticised my personality, I would like to throw this at him give it back to him.........

when i gave my ex husband some of his stuff back after he cheated on me i gave him loads of photos of us together with LIAR, CHEAT and other not very complimentary words written on them in biro, then as im sorting through drawers and i come across any of him or us together i rip them into little shreds and fling them in the bin because i dont want reminding of the happy times wondering how much of it was real and how much of it was him pretending
