I'm trying to find an anniversary card for my husband and chose one that you personalise. The theme is 10 things I love about you and you have to write your own things. Is it dreadful I couldn't think of more than 7? Can most people think of more than 7 things they love about their partners?

  1. He has respect for me and sees me as a person first rather than a woman first.
  2. He loves animals.
  3. He's a good listener.
  4. He can be really spontaneous and exciting and has a sense of adventure...
  5. ...but is also dependable when it's needed.
  6. He's awesome with DS; we complement each other.
  7. He can play the piano
  8. He likes smoking cigarettes in the rain
  9. We laugh all the time and he rarely gets annoyed even when things are going wrong

  8. When we argue or disagree, he takes on board what I say. We had one argument recently and since it happened, things have really changed for the better.

Awwww, my OH does that too re appreciating my cooking. I am a very average cook but he ALWAYS thanks me and compliments my cooking very sincerely.

Hope pickles and Abitwobbly get to write their own lists of appreciation sometime.

Oh my DH is fab.

  1. He is rock solid reliable.
  2. He is the cleverest person I have ever met.
  3. He is a fanatastic father.
  4. He has me in stitches every day.
  5. He enjoys my company more than anyone else's.

  8. He is uber ambitious (which I know wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea).

I haven't read anyone elses yet...

  1. Even though I am all fat and wobbly, he still wants to shag me on the sofa in broad daylight Grin
  2. He cooks the most amazing food - better than any restaurant I have ever been too.
  3. He lets me get on with being the flighty, silly girl that I am and is always there for me to come back down to earth too.
  4. Six years down the line and when he touches me he still makes my stomach flip.
  5. He still enjoys stroking my neck and side in a certain way that makes me shiver, even if we aren't going to have sex.
  6. He is kind to his mother.
  7. He works really, really hard and only complains a little bit.
  8. He is fiercely protective of me, even when I sort of rather he wouldn't be, and yet he always turns out to be right.
  9. Even if I am mostly in thr wrong, he will stick up for me.
  10. He makes me laugh more than anyone I have ever known.

  2. He will hold me as I cry and make a mess of his t-shirt, even if I have no idea why I'm blubbing (20 wks pregnant and hormonal!)
  3. He is SO excited about our baby arriving in November
  4. We often spot the same things at the same time (I am convinced our brains work as one) and a look between us can say more than words
  5. He is very practical and can solve problems around the house easily
  6. He doesn't mind using our silly phrases for things (A ninky-nonk and an iggle-piggle have special meanings for things we do!!)
  7. He is openly affectionate towards me
  8. He listens to me (and in our early days after I'd mentioned that I liked men in suits, surprised me by turning up to my flat one night wearing his and going commando)
  9. After 4 years we have never had an argument, we just solve our differences in other ways.
10. Oh yeah, he's gorgeous!

He's not my DH thought but my DP. One day...

Oh good a place I can be soppy about my husband without anyone groaning...

  1. He is the kindest person I know
  2. He has the most amazing bond with our DD, the type of which I never had with my father
  3. When I was ill in hospital he was by my side every moment he could, cheering me up and making me laugh even in the darkest moments
  4. He doesn't complain when I want to get out the Friends boxset, again
  5. He treats our marriage as teamwork, and I always feel that we both do everything we can to make each other's lives easier
  6. He likes my cooking
  7. He stands up to his family when they have upset me
  8. I don't have to tell him when I am hurting and he just instinctively knows to take over
  9. He believes in me and encourages me more than anyone else has ever done and has given me so much more confidence in myself
10. He restored my faith in men when I never thought I could trust another one again.

Going to do this without reading the others so it's instinctive -then I will have a good lurk afterwards!

  1. Great with the kids, especially the way he reads stories and makes them giggle with rough and tumble

2)Very supportive during shit times. Drops hig powered job at a second's notice when I have really needed him

  1. Very nice to cuddle, especially on the sofa

  2. Highly amusing dancer, mostly only in our frontroom

  3. Very family orientated, worships his folks and aspires to be like his loyal, capable, friendly dad

  4. Very witty. Sometimes not on purpose Smile

  5. Very supportive of my life choices especially my ever changing career v family self-negotiations

  6. Cooks lovely food

  7. Grows lovley veg

  8. Enjoys Christmas as much as I do -and cooks an excellent Xmas day spread that I can invite all our/my rellies to!
