So apparently I joined a dating site last night. I have no profile yet. I've already had 2 messages...

One thing lead to another and I ended up submitting v basic info to a single parents dating site just so I could browse. I think it was literally first name email and postcode. Don't even have DOB on there. No profile no nothing.

AIBU to be a bit freaked by 2 messages this morning? They must be desperate surely.

Yep, I'd be freaked out too, they sound like chancers, probably married.

A friend and I once made up a profile on there but didn't post a picture with it. I said I was 21, from Sweden and working over here temporarily. Within 30 mins I'd had over 30 hits. They obviously had built up an image of what a 21 yr old Swedish girl looks like. I found it highly amusing, the sad bastards!

Can't see the messages without paying (and I'm not rushing for my credit card....), but can see their profiles.

One of them is 'bored' and has a pic of him wearing an army uniform which is 3 sizes too big .

The other is wearing a st johns ambulance 'style' shirt in one, and he is in the background of a photo where a 'girlfriend' type figure is in the front .

Not too hopeful with this internet dating so far...
