Tell me encouraging stories about post divorce dating/relationships :)

I never thought I would date anyone ever again after I got married.
Now I am getting divorced so technically I can go on dates etc which in some ways is highly exiting and in some ways makes me feel soooooooooo weird!
What was it like for you?

I was like you in thinking I would be married forever, but unfortunately my xH decided otherwise.

Making the decision to start dating again was huge. But one night I decided to stop the self pitying about my situation (about a year after he walked out) and signed up to a dating site.

It was a great boost to my confidence when someone would just wink at me on the site. Lots of giggles were had with a girlfriend looking over the various potential dates profiles. Flirting via date site email can be quiet fun. I met some really nice men (some not so too).

I have been lucky enough to meet a really decent guy and have been going out with him for about a year. Our relationship isn't too serious. We see each other when we can (he works away a lot and has a DS in France he visits quite often). We just enjoy each others company. The first time we had sex was exciting and nerve racking - (I had been with the same man for 19 years)- I now feel like a teenage girl again with all the experimenting.

It is a brave step to start dating again, but hell you only have one life.
