Honestly; I don't want it (Mumsnet) to morph into a sort of 1930/40's WVS type thing (but sometimes I think, why not?).

Please. please, can we all remember we're women and drop the dreadful, 'Chicks without Dicks', downward spiral into the materialistic gutter?

I just don't think it helps when someone comes here looking for help/support to be confronted by a gang of deliberately, nasty sharks that have long abandoned any thought of climbing back up into the light.

izzyizin · 13/03/2012 16:22

Aw, you mean it's a re-run as well as a wind-up Doom?

Damn, and there was I thinking Petunia was an original freak of nature.

Sorry OP, I'd love to respond, but I'm off jitterbugging with one of those scrummy GIs. He's promised me chocolate and nylons in return for showing him a good time ... nudge, nudge, Wink Wink

Are you RaspberryPi OP?

And for some reason I arfed out loud at

"Oh, fascinating cross post." from garlic.

Best post of the day.

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 17:00

Oh my dear, dear, young women and girls.

You. That have to always live under the yoke women live under. Whatever station in life we find ourselves in...

Rotten Husbands. Drifter swines. These now met it seems in some sweatbox 'Nightclub'.

Now. Still young but saddled with god knows what to bring up...

I shall light a candle for you ALL.

This night I shall send my Husband off to the Pub so that we might ALL - at eight of the clock - computers ON girls - once again, all burn our bras together.

Miss SmartyPants from posts above - don't rely on yer Yankee spell checker and rubbish 'degree').

Sorry Petunia. I am actually a bit worried about you. You know ranting and raving at the world is also part of the 'good stuff' about Mumsnet. Plenty a person came on to have a rant, realised that there was actually thousands of different types of women and men on here and discovered that they could get support in some way.

Just sayin'...

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 17:10

izzyavinin. Forget my full of self pity, drink fuelled afternoon. I respect your sober, considered reply to my posts and it has pulled me up.

I'm so sorry.

izzyizin · 13/03/2012 17:12

I don't what station you're in, Petunia, but I shall be heading to Victoria in roughly 30 mins and at 8 I'll be meeting your Husband in the pub be doing a boil wash in the copper before mangling my pointy cone bras and hanging them on the line with dolly pegs.

YuleingFanjo · 13/03/2012 17:12

oooh - a religious shouty drunk nut! Yay!

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 17:14

You're so right too - oh bloody sorry for kicking off.

izzyizin · 13/03/2012 17:14

You've been 'pulled up', Petunia? Don't you mean 'uprooted' Grin

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 17:48

Think you're right. Thanks for being so calm.

Petunia's posts read like they've been translated literally from another language. Or like she's drunk.

hopkin · 13/03/2012 18:00

Holy shit, just saw your post at 17.10. Are you actually drunk?

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 18:02

Sorry everyone, and I do mean it.

Sitting here in a corner. Well away from the world but not in self pity. Just so depressed that for whatever reason (drink is just the vector that enables me to do it, just like all the others). I can't seem to say anything without drink.

It's not because I love drink - I HATE IT. I hate the taste, the smell, the looking at others drunk - i hate it. But it does it.

Any one here do any other drugs? I'm telling you, I'm so desperate because I know alcohol will kill me and I know that all it needs is love but too old to ever find it now.

Any tips gratefully excepted.

Along with a magic mushroom or two, marijuana the 'erb could be your salvation, Petunia.

Peace and love and no hangover. What more could a gal want?

Petunia12 · 13/03/2012 19:52

Love it! Class. Do you see? She's got it. What a clever girl - one wonders, is she a school teacher, perhaps in an inner city?
