Have been a single mother for 6 months now and was feeling very sorry for myself sat indoors every night so thought I'd have a look online... anyway, I winked at a guy and he winked back earlier tonight so I e-mailed him and he replied and now I'm waiting for him to reply to my second e-mail and I feel really nervous and shy like when you're at school!! How ridiculous is that ??
I know he is probably a monster in disguise or whatever but its the best I've felt for months, just thinking that there is at least one bloke out there interested in having a conversation with me!!
Don't get me wrong, you guys on here are great but its nice to know that a real live man wants to talk to me!!

They're not all monsters! I met my DH online and he's a lurverly big softy... in fact most of my friends met their partners online! DOn't be scared! Just be as cautious as you would be in a normal situation good luck!

What sites do you use? Are there some that are better than others?

my friend had a lot of dates with blokes she d met on internet, when she turned up to meet the "30 year old, good looking, athletic male" 9 times out of 10 they were over 50 and overweight with no personality, she d be polite and have one drink and leave.

Have seen 3 photos from his profile (assuming they are actually of him of course), and looks very nice!!
Haven't thought about my ex all evening - first time in 6 months, yippee !!!!!
Am all too aware that chances are he won't be anything special or he won't like me etc. but hey at least my friday night feels exciting for a change and I haven't just sat through Soapstar superstar or whtever it is called !!
